About the institute
The Institute of Agriculture of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW was established in 2019 as an effect of the changes to the organizational structure of the university.
The Institute continues the heritage of the Faculty of Agriculture (then the Faculty of Agriculture and Biology) – one of the oldest organizational units of the university. The Institute is a scientific unit in which research is carried out in the field of agricultural sciences, soil sciences and environmental sciences. The Institute consists of four organizational units: the Department of Agronomy, the Department of Biometry, the Department of Soil Science and the Division of Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry. The institute also includes the Prof. Marian Górski Experimental Station of the Institute of Agriculture located in Skierniewice.
Researchers of the Institute of Agriculture carry out their studies on the basis of field experimental works, laboratory analyzes and analyzes using remote sensing and computer methods
