The Institute is a scientific unit in which research is carried out in the field of agricultural sciences, soil sciences and environmental sciences.

The Institute consists of four organizational units: the Department of Agronomy, the Department of Biometry, the Department of Soil Science and the Division of Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry. The institute also includes the Prof. Marian Górski Experimental Station of the Institute of Agriculture located in Skierniewice.
