The teaching activity of the Department of Agronomy is very extensive. Currently, the staff of the Department of Agronomy conduct courses in 14 degree programmes taught in Polish out of the 41 offered, as well as in 3 programmes taught in English. This activity primarily covers topics such as: characteristics of agricultural production space, agroecology and environmental protection, soil and crop management, crop production, the impact of agriculture on the environment, herbology, the role of water in crop production and the agricultural environment, grassland science and the management of meadows and pastures, farming systems, energy crops, standardisation of agricultural produce, and organic, precision, and regenerative agriculture.<\/p>

In recent years, new subjects have been introduced, including ecotoxicology, water in agriculture with elements of agrometeorology, the impact of climate change on the environment, world agriculture, integrated production, integrated plant protection, as well as monitoring and forecasting of harmful organisms. Under the Erasmus programme, seven courses are offered in English (Cropping System, Introduction to Organic Agriculture, Agroecology, Organic Crops, Organic Grassland, Weeds and Weed Management in Organic Farming, and Conversion of the Farm into an Organic System), as well as the course Agronomy for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In total, the Department of Agronomy offers 75 courses and diploma seminars within full-time and part-time first- and second-cycle studies.<\/p>

The staff of the Department also teach classes for secondary school students as part of open laboratory activities.<\/p>

Beginning with the 2025\/2026 academic year, the staff of the Department of Agronomy are implementing a new curriculum for the Agriculture degree programme under the project \u201cSustainable SGGW Campus \u2013 Education for Key Sectors,\u201d project no.
