The research topics of the department focus on the development of new, as well as the improvement and application of existing statistical methods to science research. These methods concern analysis and interpretation of plant genotype x environment interaction, multi-variate data analysis in plant genetics and breeding, and agro-biodiversity, as well as spatial and environmental data analysis.
